The Kupo 158MB Compact Steadicam Stand is primarily designed to support heavier payloads such as steadicam rigs and stabilizer systems between takes. It features a compact size that makes it much easier to transport or store compared to a regular steadicam stand(163MB). The central pole of the Kupo 158MB can be removed from the base and used as a 'Moses pole.' This allows the steadicam operator to take a break when the large docking stand is not easily portable. The central tube can also support the center of a slider system to prevent sagging when rigged under a dolly. Additionally, the Kupo 158MB is suitable for heavier lighting fixtures with a 5/8” (16mm) baby pin. When folded, the stand can stand upright on its own, saving space. The optional caster wheels with premium pneumatic tires make this stand ideal for use on uneven ground as well as in the studio. The tailor-made stand tray is also optional accessory providing extra space as an ideal storage solution for tools and other accessories.
